di Simone Crolla, Managing Director dell’American Chamber of Commerce in Italy

AmCham: 100 Years of Service in Italy
From 1915 to today, AmCham Italy has constantly increased its prestige and reputation
The American Chamber of Commerce in Italy was founded in April 13th 1915 with the aim of strengthening the economic, social, political and cultural relations between Italy and the United States of America.
Although several historical events, including two world wars, have deeply changed the political structure of the world, in the years AmCham Italy has constantly increased its prestige and reputation.
After 100 years, a first summary is definitely required, an honor and task of which I take charge as the Managing Director of this organization.
Prior my arrival AmCham had faced a difficult phase due to the economic crisis, the consequent decrease of the number of its associates and its weak identity as association. Its lack of competitiveness has led us to the rebuilding of AmCham’s brand, aiming to a different and stronger market positioning.
Well, now I can say ‘mission accomplished.’ Today AmCham has a high-quality membership; it is considered a networking and information hub for every US company with interests in Italy and for many Italian companies with the ambition to expand their activities in the US market.
We are recognized as an influential partner from the Italian institutions on different issues, as demonstrated by the constant participation of both governmental and institutional representatives to most AmCham events. We have invested efforts and resources to strengthen our territorial presence in Italy, to increase the dimension of our network and offer a unique business environment to our associates.
Finally, we are among the contributors to the United States’ participation in the Expo and to the fundraising of the US Pavilion.
I am very proud of the goals AmCham has achieved with the team working with me every day for the success of this organization.
