Confindustria ad Expo 2015 con “Fab Food”

È stata presentata alla stampa “Fab Food. La fabbrica del gusto italiano”, la mostra che sarà ospitata nel Padiglione Italia, dedicata all’alimentazione industriale sostenibile
L’Italia ha scelto con Expo 2015 un tema fortemente caratterizzante, che affonda le radici nelle tradizioni più profonde del nostro Paese, che da sempre esprime un’eccellenza nella cultura dell’alimentazione. “Nutrire il Pianeta, Energia per la Vita” è un tema che è anche parte viva della nostra storia industriale e della vita quotidiana delle imprese del settore, attraverso mondi produttivi che ci fanno conoscere, apprezzare e crescere nel mondo, giorno per giorno.
Con questa consapevolezza Confindustria promuove in occasione di Expo 2015, la mostra “Fab Food. La fabbrica del gusto italiano”. Obiettivo è far conoscere ai visitatori di Padiglione Italia come sia possibile ottenere, rispettando l’ambiente e le risorse del mondo, prodotti alimentari sicuri, di qualità, a prezzi accessibili e in quantità sufficiente per tutti grazie all’industria e alle sue tecnologie.

DIECI SALE, PER 900 METRI QUADRI DI SUPERFICIE ESPOSITIVA. Il progetto, curato dal Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia di Milano, si svilupperà in un padiglione espositivo di 900 metri quadri su due livelli, all’interno di Padiglione Italia, e proporrà attrazioni creative ma puntuali, per illustrare la complessità e le connessioni della filiera agro-alimentare italiana. Un percorso di 10 sale, studiato soprattutto per giovani, scuole e famiglie, insieme al pubblico internazionale, accoglierà i visitatori attraverso un’esperienza individuale e collettiva, interattiva, altamente emozionale. Insieme a Confindustria hanno reso possibile la realizzazione del progetto, oltre al Ministero della Salute, 10 associazioni di sistema: Federchimica (Federazione Nazionale dell’Industria Chimica), Federalimentare (Federazione Italiana dell’Industria Alimentare), ANIMA – Federazione delle Associazioni Nazionali dell’Industria Meccanica Varia ed Affine, Assolombarda (Associazione Industriale Lombarda), ACIMIT – Associazione Costruttori Italiani di Macchinario per l’Industria Tessile, ANIE – Federazione Nazionale Imprese Elettrotecniche ed Elettroniche, ASSICA – Associazione Industriali delle Carni e dei Salumi, Assocomaplast – Associazione Nazionale Costruttori di Macchine e Stampi per Materie Plastiche e Gomma, Federunacoma – Federazione Nazionale Costruttori Macchine per l’Agricoltura e UCIMU – Sistemi per Produrre – Associazione Costruttori Italiani Macchine Utensili, Robot e Automazione.
La mostra – che vede l’Istituto Piepoli quale Partner Research – si avvale della supervisione di un Comitato Scientifico, composto da: Chiara Tonelli, Vice-Rettore per la Ricerca dell’Università degli Studi di Milano e Professore di Genetica – Dipartimento di Bioscienze; Dario Bressanini, docente di chimica e tecnologia degli alimenti presso l’Università degli Studi dell’Insubria –  Dipartimento di Scienza e Alta Tecnologia, Andrea Ghiselli, dirigente di Ricerca presso il CRA-NUT – Centro di Ricerca per gli Alimenti e la Nutrizione.

Confindustria at Expo Milano 2015 with ‘Fab Food’
‘Fab Food. The Factory of Italian Taste’ was presented to the press. This exhibition will be hosted in the Italian Pavilion and is dedicated to sustainable food industries
Italy has chosen a highly distinctive theme for Expo 2015 that is rooted in the deepest traditions of our country, which has always expressed excellence in the culture of food. ‘Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life’ is a theme that is also a living part of our industrial history and the everyday life of businesses, through productive worlds that make us understand, appreciate and grow in the world, day by day.
With this in mind, on the occasion of Expo 2015, Confindustria is promoting the exhibition ‘Fab Food. The Factory of Italian Taste.’ Its goal is to inform visitors to the Italian Pavilion about how it is possible to produce safe, quality, affordable food that is sufficient for all while respecting the environment and the world’s resources, thanks to the industry and its technologies.

TEN ROOMS WITH 900 SQUARE METRES OF EXHIBITION SPACE. The project, curated by the National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, will be held in an exhibition space measuring 900 square metres across two floors within the Italian Pavilion, and present creative but pertinent attractions to illustrate the complexities and connections of the Italian agro-food supply chain. The exhibition route leads through 10 rooms and has been designed especially for young people, schools and families, along with international audiences, to welcome visitors with an individual and collective, interactive, highly emotional experience.
Together with Confindustria, the project was made possible by the Ministry of Health and 10 industrial associations: Federchimica (National Federation of the Chemical Industry), Federalimentare (Italian Federation of the Food Industry), ANIMA – Federation of Associations of Mechanical and Engineering Industries, Assolombarda (Lombard Industrial Association), ACIMIT – Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machinery for the Textile Industry, ANIE – National Federation of Electrotechnical and Electronics Businesses, ASSICA – Industrial Association of Meat and Charcuterie Producers, Assocomaplast – National Association of Manufacturers of Machinery and Moulds for Plastics and Rubber, FederUnacoma – National Federation of Manufacturers of Machines for Agriculture, and UCIMU – Systems for Production – Association of Italian Manufacturers of Tools, Robots and Automation Machines.
The exhibition – which involves the Istituto Piepoli as a Research Partner – is supervised by a scientific committee, comprised of: Chiara Tonelli, Vice-Rector for Research of the University of Milan and Professor of Genetics – Department of Biosciences; Dario Bressanini, lecturer in chemistry and food technology at the University of Insubria- Department of Science and High Technology, Andrea Ghiselli, Director of Research at CRA-NUT – Centre for Food and Nutrition Research.

Why Fab Food: ‘Fabulous Food,’ because Italian food is indeed fabulous; Fab Food, as in the food ‘fabbrica’ or ‘factory,’ in the sense of good, safe, sustainable industrial food for all; Fab Food, as the Fab Four, the legendary Beatles, because our food is also legendary; Fab Food, reminiscent of Fab Lab, a youthful space, devoted to invention and innovation, as creative and joyous as our food.
