“Promoting the Made in Italy brand, supporting and spreading the excellence, the uniqueness and the universal character of Italian products: this is not just a cultural and business commitment made by the Comitato Leonardo – Italian Quality Committee, but has also been its founding ‘mission’ since it was first established in 1993.
Leonardo defined Italian genius as a combination of flair and creativity. Foreigners define it in the same way by stating that: “When we want to describe a product as a good one, we say it is an Italian product.”
In reality Italian ‘genius’ entails a lot more than this. One only needs to think about the endless potential that we express in every field of action, in the mechanical and textile sectors, in component production and in construction, not to mention design, fashion, food, wood, pharmaceuticals and research.
As the Comitato Leonardo, we represent many of these sectors, through companies and affiliates that are the jewels in the crown of the Made in Italy brand and have become global leaders thanks to the continuous strategy of investment in research. We do this through our initiatives, the Leonardo Prizes, awarded every year during the Giornata della Qualità Italia (Italian Day of Quality), by the President of Italy at the Quirinale Presidential Palace, and also through research, contact with the highest representatives of business throughout the world, economic forums and meetings in the territory and with the territory.
Through its Members, the Comitato Leonardo interprets and represents the excellent products of the Made in Italy brand, with which we all identify.”
