Il tour che promuoverà nel 2017 i grandi vini del Piemonte per le città del mondo, da Bordeaux a Hong Kong, da Londra alla Cina, è partito ufficialmente da Roma il 30 novembre, con il primo evento a Palazzo Brancaccio organizzato da Piemonte Land of perfection, società che riunisce i principali consorzi di vini piemontesi, con il sostegno della Regione Piemonte.
Il vino prodotto in Piemonte viene esportato per il 60% per un valore di 1 miliardo di euro: il 70% va nei paesi europei, il resto fuori unione europea, forte di 18 etichette docg e 42 doc. I dati 2016 confermano una tendenza ormai decennale dove la forza del vino piemontese sta nella sua qualità, come ha commentato l’assessore regionale all’agricoltura: “La qualità permette di conquistare i mercati mondiali e su di essa occorre puntare per aumentare il peso e le ricadute che il vino piemontese ha in tutto il mondo in termini di valorizzazione del territorio, della cultura, del rafforzamento dell’immagine del Piemonte e dell’Italia”.
The Great Piedmont Wines on a World Tour
The tour will promote the great wines of Piedmont, visiting cities worldwide throughout 2017, from Bordeaux to Hong Kong, from London to China. It officially left Rome on November 30, with the first event held in Palazzo Brancaccio, organized by Piedmont Land of Perfection, a company that brings together the leading consortia of Piedmont wines, with the support of the Piedmont Region.
60% of wines produced in Piedmont (18 DOCG and 42 DOC labels) are exported, for a turnover of 1 billion Euros; 70% ends up in European countries, the rest outside the European Union. 2016 data confirm a decade-long trend. The strength of Piedmont wines is in their quality, as the Regional Minister of Agriculture commented: “The quality allows you to conquer world markets; that’s why we need to focus on it in order to increase the weight and effects that Piedmont wines have over the world in terms of enhancement and strenghtening the image of Piedmont and Italy abroad”.
