President Mattarella Visits Expo Milano 2015
On Friday 5 June Expo Milano 2015 welcomed the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella. “The Milan Exhibition,” said the Head of State “is a challenge for our country that has tested its organisational skills to serve a great project. The universality of the themes is well summarised in the Charter of Milan, which is not only a happy synthesis of the discussion between experts, civil society and institutions, but also a real legacy of this event. (…) Using a very effective expression, the UN Secretary General has called 2015 ‘a year of sowing’. We are proud that ‘our’ Expo is one of these seeds.”
President Mattarella then visited Palazzo Italia, where he signed the Charter of Milan.
