Ivan Lo Bello è il nuovo Presidente di Unioncamere, l’associazione rappresentativa del sistema camerale italiano, per il triennio 2015-2018. Lo hanno eletto i presidenti delle Camere di Commercio italiane, riuniti a Roma il 22 giugno in occasione della 142esima Assemblea di Unioncamere. Succede a Ferruccio Dardanello, che ha terminato, dopo sei anni, il suo secondo mandato.
Lo Bello, imprenditore, 52 anni, già vicepresidente di Unioncamere è anche vicepresidente di Confindustria con delega per l’Education e Presidente della CCIAA di Siracusa.
“Ringrazio i colleghi che mi hanno dato fiducia – ha detto il neo Presidente –. Insieme ci impegneremo per lo sviluppo delle nostre imprese ed il rafforzamento del Sistema Paese.
Le Camere di Commercio possono svolgere un ruolo di grande rilevanza per la modernizzazione – ha aggiunto – contribuendo, fra l’altro, allo sviluppo dell’economia digitale per semplificare la vita delle imprese e realizzare gli obiettivi dell’Agenda digitale. La riforma in discussione in Parlamento ci costringe a ripensare in profondità il sistema camerale ed a innovare il modello operativo. Siamo pronti a fare la nostra parte d’intesa con il sistema imprenditoriale ed in collaborazione con il Governo”.
Nel corso del suo intervento di insediamento, Lo Bello ha indicato le priorità del prossimo triennio. “Dobbiamo puntare attraverso la riforma a mettere al centro le imprese per sostenere la ripresa e modernizzare il paese. Confidiamo che dalla riforma – ha concluso – scaturisca un sistema che abbia chiarezza nelle funzioni assegnate, una più efficiente organizzazione territoriale, risorse adeguate e coerenti”.
L’ASSEMBLEA DEI PRESIDENTI DELLE CAMERE DI COMMERCIO HA ELETTO L’UFFICIO DI PRESIDENZA DELL’UNIONE. Successivamente la nuova nomina, l’assemblea ha eletto la squadra che affiancherà il Presidente Lo Bello, alla guida dell’Istituzione per i prossimi tre anni. “Siamo ora pronti – ha commentato il Presidente di Unioncamere – ad intraprendere il percorso destinato ad imprimere una forte accelerazione al processo di modernizzazione e razionalizzazione del sistema camerale. Perché modernizzare il sistema camerale – ha aggiunto – vuol dire anche aiutare le imprese italiane e il Paese tutto ad innovarsi, a velocizzare il passo sulla via della digitalizzazione, per rilanciare quel modello economico tutto italiano basato sui territori, sulle eccellenze produttive e tecnologiche, sulla qualità del Made in Italy”.

Maurizio Maddaloni, Presidente della Camera di Commercio di Napoli;
Giorgio Mencaroni (vicario), Presidente della Camera di Commercio di Perugia;
Renato Scapolan, Presidente della Camera di Commercio di Varese;
Maurizio Torreggiani, Presidente della Camera di Commercio di Modena.
Ivan Lo Bello is The New Chairman of Unioncamere

Ivan Lo Bello is the new Chairman of Unioncamere – the association representing the Italian Chambers of Commerce network – for the three-year period: 2015-2018. He was elected by Chairpersons of the Italian Chambers of Commerce, who met in Rome on 22nd June, at the 142nd General Assembly of Unioncamere. He succeeds Ferruccio Dardanello, who, after six years, has completed his second mandate. Lo Bello, a 52-year-old entrepreneur, is already a vice-chairman of Unioncamere and also vice-president of Confindustria, with powers of representation for Education and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Artisans and Agriculture in Siracusa.
“I wish to thank the colleagues who have put their faith in me,” said the new Chairman, “Together, we will make a commitment to the development of our businesses and the strengthening of the national system.”
“Chambers of Commerce can play a very important role in modernisation,” he continued, “contributing, amongst other things, to digital economic development, which makes life easier for businesses and fulfils the objectives of the digital agenda. The reforms being discussed in Parliament have forced us to radically rethink our Chamber of Commerce system and to be innovative in the operative model. We are ready to do our part in accordance with the entrepreneurial system and in collaboration with the government”. In the course of his inaugural speech, Mr. Bello indicated the priorities for the next three years. “Through the reforms, we must aim to prioritise business, in order to sustain recovery and modernise the country. We trust that from the reform,” he concluded, “will result a clearer system in the functions assigned, more efficient organisation at territorial level, and adequate and consistent resources”.
THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE PRESIDENTS OF THE CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE HAS ELECTED TO OFFICE THE CHAIRMAN OF THE UNION. After the new appointment, the General Assembly elected the team which will work alongside the Chairman Lo Bello guiding the set-up for the next three years. “We are now ready,” commented the Chairman of Unioncamere, “to set off along the route destined to trigger a dramatic acceleration in the process of modernising and rationalising the Chamber of Commerce network, because modernising the Chamber of Commerce network”, he added, “also means helping Italian businesses and the country overall to innovate, to speed up its journey along the road to digitalisation, to relaunch a completely Italian economic model, based on the regions, on excellence in production and technology, on ‘Made in Italy’ quality.”
