Nuova importante fase di sviluppo in Cina per Magneti Marelli, che ha inaugurato due nuovi insediamenti produttivi nelle aree dell’illuminazione e dei sistemi elettronici per auto, in due regioni importanti per lo scenario automotive cinese – Xiaogan e Guangzhou – con un investimento complessivo di circa 36 milioni di Euro. “Con questi due nuovi insediamenti, allarghiamo ulteriormente la nostra presenza in Cina, mercato che per Magneti Marelli diventa ogni anno più importante”, ha dichiarato Eugenio Razelli, Amministratore Delegato di Magneti Marelli. “Abbiamo accelerato questo processo in particolare negli ultimi cinque anni, seguendo la crescita del mercato cinese e le conseguenti necessità dei nostri clienti. È questo l’elemento chiave alla base dell’apertura del nuovo impianto per il lighting a Xiaogan e l’allargamento di quello per l’elettronica a Guangzhou: portare e localizzare in Cina la capacità di progettare, sviluppare e produrre localmente tecnologie e prodotti chiave per l’automotive, in accordo con le esigenze del mercato cinese e dei produttori presenti nel Paese”. Il 16 aprile è stato inaugurato lo stabilimento ampliato di Magneti Marelli Sistemi Elettronici di Guangzhou (provincia di Guangdong), che ha richiesto un investimento totale di 22 milioni di euro. Quello di Guangzhou è stato il primo insediamento di Magneti Marelli in Cina nel 1996. Attualmente vi lavorano 650 persone, numero che dovrebbe quasi raddoppiare nell’arco dei prossimi cinque anni. La capacità produttiva attuale è di 3,5 milioni di moduli elettronici l’anno, che arriveranno a 10 milioni nel 2019.
Magneti Marelli è presente nel Paese con stabilimenti produttivi e Centri di R&D/Ingegneria a Shanghai, Foshan, Wuhu, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Changsha, Changchun e Hefei.
Two new plants for Magneti Marelli in China
Magneti Marelli is going through a further important growth in China with the inauguration of two production sites in the field of lighting and electronic systems, in two key regions for the Chinese automotive scenario – Xiaogan and Guangzhou. The actual total investment is worth about 36 million Euros. “With these two new facilities, we keep on expading our presence in China, which for Magneti Marelli is becoming more and more important,” stated Eugenio Razelli, CEO of Magneti Marelli. “We accelerated this process in the last five years, following the Chinese market growth and the consequent needs of our clients. And that’s the key element of Xiaogan plant opening for the lighting business and the Guangzhou plant enlargement for electronics: bringing and localizing in China the capability to design, develop and produce locally key products and automotive technologies, accordingly to the needs of the Chinese market and key-carmakers”.
On April 16th, the enlarged Magneti Marelli Electronics Systems plant in Guangzhou – Guangdong province – has been inaugurated, with a total investment of 22 million Euros.
The Guangzhou plant has been the first Magneti Marelli installation in China in 1996. Presently 650 people work in the plant, with a plan of almost doubling the number by 2019.
The current manufacturing capacity is of 3.5 million automotive electronic modules, which will reach 10 million in 2019.
Magneti Marelli has been active in the Country with manufacturing plants and R&D/Engineering Centres in Shanghai, Foshan, Wuhu, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Changsha, Changchun and Hefei.
