Già decine di migliaia i visitatori che hanno ammirato le “potenze” del nostro Paese

Il 1° maggio, Expo Milano 2015 ha aperto le sue porte al mondo, mostrando come, in pochi mesi, siamo riusciti a trasformare una landa desolata in una città ricca di alberi, costellata di architetture straordinarie. E, tra queste, il Padiglione Italia, che da solo occupa un quinto dell’intero spazio espositivo, rappresenta la vera e propria “porta” al Bel Paese, alle sue bellezze e al suo saper fare, di ieri come di oggi.
Expo Milano 2015 ha aperto solo da pochi giorni, eppure già tanti sono stati i commenti positivi, così come assolutamente degni di nota sono stati i numeri relativi ai visitatori, a partire proprio da coloro che hanno scelto di entrare nel nostro Padiglione. Migliaia di milanesi, turisti italiani e stranieri, comitive, studenti provenienti da tutta la penisola, visitano quotidianamente le sale che raccontano le “potenze” del nostro Paese, passeggiano negli spazi della mostra “La Casa dell’Identità italiana”, ammirano le grandi opere d’arte presenti all’interno di Palazzo Italia: la Hora degli Uffizi e una scultura di Vanessa Beecroft, poste nell’atrio, che anche visivamente danno fin da subito voce al costante dialogo tra il nostro glorioso passato e il nostro straordinario presente che caratterizza Palazzo Italia; e poi un capolavoro come “La Vucciria” di Renato Guttuso, al secondo piano.
Ma i visitatori hanno anche potuto apprezzare, lungo il Cardo, le tante eccellenze dei nostri territori, in un viaggio suggestivo tra la varietà delle nostre tradizioni, dei nostri paesaggi, dei nostri sapori. E poi ammirare l’Albero della Vita, in uno spettacolo di suoni e luci che lasciano senza fiato.

The Italian Pavilion Awaits You!
Tens of thousands of visitors have already admired the ‘powers’ of our country
On 1 May Expo 2015 opened its doors to the world, showing how, in a few months, we were able to turn a wasteland into a city full of trees, studded with extraordinary architecture. And, among these, the Italian Pavilion, which occupies one-fifth of the entire exhibition space, is the real ‘door’ to our beautiful country, its beauty and its know-how, now as in the past.
Expo Milano 2015 has only been open for a few days, but there have already been many positive comments, and the numbers of visitors are also absolutely worthy of note, starting from those who chose to enter our Pavilion. Every day, thousands of Milanese locals, Italian and foreign tourists, groups and students from all over the peninsula visit the rooms that tell the story of our country’s ‘powers.’ They walk through the spaces dedicated to the ‘House of Italian Identity’ exhibition, and admire the great works of art inside Palazzo Italia: the Hora from the Uffizi and a sculpture by Vanessa Beecroft, located in the lobby, which also visually give voice to the on-going dialogue between our glorious past and our extraordinary present that characterises Palazzo Italia; and then masterpieces like ‘The Vucciria’ by Renato Guttuso can be found on the second floor.
Along the Cardo visitors have also been able to appreciate the many excellences of our regions, in a fascinating journey exploring the variety of our traditions, our landscapes and our flavours. They could then admire the Tree of Life, and its sound and light show that leaves onlookers breathless.
