La visita del presidente del Senato Pietro Grasso, nella capitale delle Langhe per l’inaugurazione dell’86esima Fiera internazionale del Tartufo bianco d’Alba. Dopo l’incontro in Comune e la presentazione al Teatro Sociale, il taglio del nastro al Mercato del Tartufo Bianco.
Ad accogliere la seconda carica dello Stato, il vice Ministro alle Politiche agricole Andrea Olivero, il sindaco Maurizio Marello insieme al presidente del Consiglio comunale Roberto Giachino, al presidente della Regione Piemonte Sergio Chiamparino, al prefetto della Provincia di Cuneo Giovanni Russo accanto ad altri rappresentanti delle istituzioni.
L’ENTUSIAMO DEL PRESIDENTE GRASSO: “HO SCOPERTO IL TARTUFO D’ALBA IN CINA”. Dal palco del Teatro Sociale, nel volere rendere onore a un territorio, ad una città e soprattutto ad un prodotto, il Presidente Grasso ha esordito “Ho scoperto il tartufo d’Alba in Cina e sono rimasto impressionato da questo fungo proveniente dal mio paese. Sono molto grato al sindaco che mi ha dato l’occasione di venire per la prima volta in questa zona del paese, nelle Langhe, paesaggio vitivinicolo tra i più belli ed apprezzati al mondo – ha continuato il Presidente – ed ora capisco perché hanno ottenuto il riconoscimento Unesco come patrimonio mondiale dell’umanità. Mi riprometto di tornare su questo territorio per una visita più prolungata”.
UN TERRITORIO DA SALVAGUARDARE E AIUTARE. Nell’occasione, sul palco del Teatro Sociale, si è svolta una tavola rotonda coordinata con il sindaco Maurizio Marello, il vice Ministro alle Politiche agricole Andrea Olivero ed il presidente della Regione Sergio Chiamparino, dove si è parlato dei grandi temi del territorio: la nuova normativa sul tartufo, l’autostrada Asti-Cuneo, l’elettrificazione della tratta ferroviaria Alba-Bra. Tra gli intervenuti anche il presidente dell’Ente Turismo Alba Bra Langhe Roero, Luigi Barbero ed il Presidente dell’Ente Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo bianco d’Alba, Liliana Allena.
Dopo la cerimonia in teatro, il taglio del nastro al Mercato del Tartufo Bianco aperto tutti i week end dalle ore 9.00 alle 20.00 fino al 27 novembre.
Per tutto il periodo autunnale è possibile l’acquisto del Tartufo Bianco d’Alba nei negozi specializzati della Città.

President Grasso visits Alba for the inauguration of the Truffle Fair
The President of the Senate, Pietro Grasso, visits the capital of the Langhe hill region for the inauguration of the 86th Alba International White Truffle Fair. Following the meeting at the Town Hall and the presentation at the Teatro Sociale, the ribbon was cut at the White Truffle Market. The nation’s second in command was welcomed by the Deputy Minister for Agricultural Policies, Andrea Olivero, the Mayor, Maurizio Marello, the Chairman of the City Council, Roberto Giachino, the President of the Piedmont Region, Sergio Chiamparino, the Prefect of the Province of Cuneo, Giovanni Russo, along with various other institutional representatives.
THE ENTHUSIASM OF PRESIDENT GRASSO: “I DISCOVERED THE ALBA TRUFFLE IN CHINA.” From the stage of the Teatro Sociale, in honour of a territory, a town, and above all an exceptional product, President Grasso declared, “I discovered the Alba truffle in China, and I was extremely impressed by this extraordinary product from my country. I am very grateful to the Mayor, who has given me the opportunity to come to this part of the country, the Langhe hill region, for the first time…one of the world’s most beautiful and renowned wine regions. Now I am able to truly understand why it has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. I will certainly return to this area in the future for a more extensive visit.”
A REGION TO BE PROTECTED AND ASSISTED. In order to mark the occasion, a round table coordinated by the Mayor, Maurizio Marello, the Deputy Minister for Agricultural Policies, Andrea Olivero, and the Regional President, Sergio Chiamparino, was held on the stage of the Teatro Sociale, during which the predominant regional issues were discussed: these included the new truffle regulations, the Asti–Cuneo motorway, and the electrification of the Alba–Bra railway link. Speeches were given by the President of the Alba Bra Langhe Roero Tourism Organization, Luigi Barbero, and the President of the Alba International White Truffle Fair Organization, Liliana Train.
After the ceremony at the theatre, the ribbon was cut at the White Truffle Market, which will be open every weekend through 27 November, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
