Inaugurato nella City un centro operativo per attirare e coordinare gli investimenti diretti esteri in Italia
Il Sottosegretario allo Sviluppo Economico, Ivan Scalfarotto, nel corso di un road show di due giorni, ha presentato oggi, 20 settembre, in Ambasciata, il nuovo sportello “Attrazioni Investimenti Esteri” dell’ICE, nato per attirare e coordinare le opportunità finanziarie che dalla City e dalla piazza britannica possono raggiungere l’economia italiana e che vedranno nel MiSE e l’Ufficio del Sottosegretario stesso l’interfaccia con cui gli investitori potranno dialogare in Italia. Un iniziativa nata dalla collaborazione tra il Ministero per lo Sviluppo Economico (MiSE), l’ICE e l’Ambasciata d’Italia a Londra, quest’ultima sempre più proiettata, assieme agli attori del “Sistema Italia”, ad agevolare tale processo con le sue iniziative di public diplomacy.
La partecipazione del Presidente dell’ICE, Michele Scannavini, all’evento londinese, oltre a quella del Sottosegretario Scalfarotto, testimonia l’importanza del nuovo desk, il cui scopo è di promuovere il Sistema Italia per incrementare gli investimenti verso il mercato nazionale e individuare le opportunità esistenti. Il desk a Londra, uno di 9 aperti nelle principali piazze finanziarie e commerciali del mondo, avrà il compito di intercettare gli attori economici con le intenzioni di investimento più promettenti per l’Italia e mapparne le esigenze per supportarli durante tutto il ciclo di vita dell’investimento.
Il progetto nasce come parte di un piano di promozione straordinaria del Made in Italy e di attrazione di potenziali flussi d’investimento varato dal Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico in collaborazione con quello degli Esteri.

An operations centre has been opened in the City to attract and coordinate foreign direct investments in Italy
At the Embassy on 20 September, during the course of a two-day road show, the Undersecretary of Economic Development, Ivan Scalfarotto, unveiled the new “Foreign Investments Attraction” desk of ICE (the Foreign Trade Institute), which was created to attract and coordinate financial opportunities from the City and from the British market that are capable of reaching the Italian economy, and for which the Ministry of Economic Development and the Office of the Undersecretary himself will act as an interface for investors to dialogue with Italy.
The initiative arose from the partnership between the Ministry of Economic Development (MiSE), ICE, and the Italian Embassy in London, the latter of which, together with the players of the “Italian economic system”, has become increasingly focused upon facilitating this process through its public diplomacy initiatives.
The participation of the ICE President, Michele Scannavini, as well as Undersecretary Scalfarotto, in the event held in London, bears witness to the importance of this new desk, which is aimed at promoting the Italian Economic System, in order to increase investments in the domestic market, and identifying the existing opportunities. The new desk in London, which is one of 9 that have been opened within the world’s major financial and trading centres, will have the task of intercepting the economic players with the most promising investment intentions for Italy, and to map the requirements for supporting them throughout the investment’s entire life cycle. The project arose as part of an extraordinary plan for promoting Made in Italy products and for attracting potential investment flows, which was launched by the Ministry of Economic Development in collaboration with the Foreign Ministry.
