“Beyond. Delivering the Future for the Past 110 Years”, la Mostra che celebra il ruolo delle grandi infrastrutture nel mondo, è un viaggio multimediale coinvolgente, in grado di far vivere al visitatore le grandi opere nella loro imponenza, mostrandone la bellezza e la funzionalità, lungo un percorso che lo porta attraverso canali che uniscono gli oceani, come il Canale di Panama; dighe ed impianti idroelettrici che producono energia pulita in alternativa alle megacentrali nucleari, come le dighe in Cina, Etiopia, Argentina e Colombia; strade e ponti che hanno costituito la colonna dorsale di paesi immensi come gli Stati Uniti; metropolitane e ferrovie che connettono in modo sostenibile città e spostano persone e merci, come la metro di Parigi, quelle di New York e di Riyadh; edifici iconici, che replicano la bellezza della natura andando oltre l’immaginazione, come il Centro Culturale di Stavros Niarchos ad Atene, l’Auditorium a Roma o la grande Moschea di Abu Dhabi. Un viaggio che si sviluppa in 8 sale, ognuna delle quali racconta, attraverso grandi opere simbolo, la sfida di intere popolazioni verso il futuro.

“Beyond. Delivering the Future for the Past 110 Years”
“Beyond: Delivering the Future for the Past 110 Years” celebrates the role of large, complex infrastructure in the world by offering an immersive multimedia journey, an engrossing experience that presents the beauty and functionality of these public works. It takes visitors to the new Panama Canal; to dams and hydroelectric plants that produce clean energy instead of big nuclear plants, like those in China, Ethiopia, Argentina and Colombia; the roads and bridges that are the backbone of vast countries such as the Unites States; the railways that transport cargo; the metros that move people in cities like Paris, New York and Riyadh; and iconic buildings that replicate nature’s beauty such as the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in Athens; the Auditorium of Rome and the Grand Mosque of Abu Dhabi. It is a journey through eight zones, each of them telling the story of iconic public works.
