“Ammiro il vostro coraggio, e anche la vostra serenità”. Sono le parole che il presidente della Repubblica, Sergio Mattarella, tornato nelle zone del sisma, ha rivolto agli studenti di Acquasanta Terme. “Non ci lasci, torni a trovarci” gli hanno detto alcuni ragazzi delle medie. I più piccoli hanno regalato al Capo dello Stato dei disegni, le classi IV e III un lavoro sulla Costituzione intitolato ‘La legge che vorrei…’.
Il presidente della Repubblica ha fatto una prima tappa ad Amatrice, dove ha visitato la scuola di San Cipriano e il cantiere dell’area Food, poi si è recato al parco comunale per avere un minuto di raccoglimento presso la lapide commemorativa costruita per le vittime del terremoto.
“Spero di non aver disturbato la vostra lezione interrompendo la vostra concentrazione. So che questo Natale e questo Capodanno saranno molto diversi da quelli passati. In questo periodo di feste è normale che il pensiero vada ai momenti difficili e duri che avete passato. Dovete avere fiducia nel futuro: e i Natale e Capodanno nei prossimi anni torneranno ad essere belli come quelli di prima”, ha detto il Capo dello Stato ad alcuni bambini in aula nella scuola di San Cipriano.
Mattarella visits earthquake zones
“I admire your courage and also your serenity”. These are the words spoken by President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, to the students of Acquasanta Terme, on returning from the earthquake zones. “Don’t leave us, come back to visit us” said some of the middle school children. The younger ones gave the Head of State some drawings, the IV and III classes gave a project on the Constitution titled “The Law I Would Like…”
The President of the Republic made his first stop in Amatrice, where he visited the school of San Cipriano and the work site for the “Area Food”, then going on to the communal park for a moment of reflection near the commemorative plaque erected for victims of the earthquake.
“I hope I haven’t disturbed your lesson by interrupting your concentration. I know that this Christmas and the New Year will be very different to those in the past. In this festive period it is normal that your thoughts will go to those difficult moments that you have endured. You have to have faith in the future: and the Christmases and New Years in the coming years will again be wonderful like the past ones”, said the Head of State to some of the children in class at the San Cipriano school.
