Progetto Eatalian Bio

Australia, la nazione con la maggiore area coltivata con metodo biologico al mondo
Il progetto Eatalian Bio, nato nel 2014 per promuovere i prodotti organici italiani in due principali mercati di riferimento, quello Australiano e quello Giapponese è stato promosso e supportato dal Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico e realizzato da Assocamerestero in collaborazione con la CCIE di Sydney in raccordo con le CCIE di Brisbane, Melbourne e Perth  e CCIE di Tokyo. La scelta dei due Paesi come obiettivo del progetto è stata il frutto di una analisi che ha evidenziato il forte potenziale di acquisto per i prodotti biologici e una elevata sensibilità alla tematica da parte dell’opinione pubblica locale.

Per il Segretario Generale della Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia Nicola Carè, “Il mercato dei prodotti biologici sta registrando in un’altissima crescita in tutto il mondo, il fatturato oggi ammonta a più di 90 miliardi di dollari australiani e sono circa 43 milioni di ettari di terra certificati per la coltivazione di prodotti biologici”. Prosegue Nicola Carè, “Italia e Australia sono tra gli principali player al mondo in questo campo. Il Belpaese, infatti, è uno dei più grandi produttori di cibo biologico in Europa, mentre l’Australia è la nazione con la maggiore area coltivata con metodo biologico al mondo, più di 17 milioni di ettari”.

A seguito del successo delle azioni realizzate nel 2014 il progetto Eatalian Bio è continuato nel corso del 2015 con azioni sul settore food e con nuove azioni dedicate al  settore della cosmesi naturale. La prima fase di questa edizione ha previsto l’organizzazione di una missione commerciale in Puglia ed ha avuto lo scopo di mettere in contatto le aziende Australiane che operano nel settore food con i produttori pugliesi del medesimo settore.
La missione ha visto la partecipazione di 14 buyers dall’Australia e dal Giappone (8 Australiani e 6 Giapponesi) ed anche 2 tour operator per ciascuno dei suddetti Paesi. In totale le aziende italiane coinvolte nella missione sono state circa 60 con un totale di oltre 300 incontri B2B. La seconda fase del progetto ha avuto come obiettivo la promozione dei prodotti della cosmesi naturale attraverso lo sviluppo e la realizzazione di una missione commerciale tenutasi  a giugno 2015 a Milano presso la sede di Cosmetica Italia (l’Associazione di rappresentanza delle imprese che fanno parte del sistema italiano della cosmesi). La missione commerciale ha visto la partecipazione di 6 aziende australiane del settore cosmetico, 18 aziende italiane per un totale di 90 incontri B2B.

A conclusione delle attività progettuali e delle due missioni incoming tenutesi rispettivamente a Bari e Taranto in maggio ed a Milano in giugno, la Camera di Commercio italiana in Sydney ha organizzato due momenti di incontro a chiusura del progetto in raccordo con l’Ufficio ICE locale. La prima occasione di incontro si è tenuta nel quadro delle giornate che hanno ospitano il Fine Food 2015 dal 20 al 23 settembre ed il secondo è stato organizzato per la seconda settimana di novembre.

Australia, the nation with the most organic agricultural land
The Eatalian Bio Project, was established in 2014 to promote Italian organic products in the two of the reference markets for organic food sector, the Australian and Japanese one, it has been promoted and supported by the Ministry of Economic Development and funded by Assocamerestero (the association of the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad) in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia who have coordinated the project within  the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan. The two countries were chosen as targets of the project following an analysis that highlights the willingness to buy organic products and the high sensitivity of the local public opinion on the topic. For the CEO and Secretary General of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia Nicholas Carè, “The Organic products market is showing an enormous growth all over the world, the sales volume reached today more than 90 billion Australian Dollars and there are about 43 million hectares of certified organic lands. Italy and Australia are among the most important player in the world in this industry. On one hand Italy is one of the biggest producer of organic food in Europe and on the other hand Australia is the nation with the most organic agricultural land, more than 17 millions hectares”.

Following the success of the actions realised in 2014 the Eatalian Bio project has continued throughout 2015 with some actions in the food industry and new actions focused in the natural cosmetics industry.
The first stage of the 2015 edition saw the organisation of a trade mission to Puglia, Bari and Taranto, with the aim of creating relationship between Australian food companies and food producers from Puglia.
The mission has seen the participation of 14 buyers from Australia and Japan (8 Australian and 6 Japanese) and also 2 tour operators, from each country. In total over 60 Italian companies involved in the mission, with more than 300 B2B meetings.
The second part of the project has targeted the promotion of the natural cosmetic products through the organisation of a trade mission to Milan in June 2015.

The mission was held in collaboration with Cosmetica Italia (the Italian association of cosmetics companies) at their headquarters. The trade mission included 6 Australian companies in the cosmetics industry and 18 Italian companies, holding over 90 B2B meetings.

In addition to the activities of the project, the two incoming missions held the first in Puglia, on May and the second in Milan, on June, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Australia in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency in Sydney, organised two events to celebrate the success of the project and increase the awareness of EatalianBio. The first event was held during the Fine Food 2015 on September and the second one has been organised for the 9th of November.
