Il Tennessee si trova al centro del quadrante sud orientale degli Stati Uniti d’America e confina con ben 8 differenti stati.
Il nome dello Stato deriva da quello dell’omonimo fiume, il Tennessee, il quale ad oriente percorre tutto il territorio da nord a sud per poi scorrere in Alabama e rientrare nella parte occidentale. A livello internazionale sono molte ed importanti le industrie con sede in Tennessee e non manca anche la presenza di aziende italiane.
Andando ad approfondire la composizione del PIL dello stato, emerge come il contributo maggiore provenga dai servizi (21,9%) seguito dalle attività manifatturiere (18,3%), dal commercio (17,8%) e da finanza, servizi assicurativi ed immobiliari (15,2%).
Il Tennessee è tra i maggiori produttori degli Stati Uniti di marmo e zinco mentre, per quanto riguarda l’agricoltura, le risorse principali sono rappresentate dall’allevamento di bovini e suini, dall’industria casearia e dalla coltivazione di soia, tabacco, foraggio, cotone, mais, grano, sorgo, fagioli, pomodori, meli e peschi. Sono diverse e molteplici le ragioni per scegliere il Tennessee, una realtà capace all’interno della Federazione a registrare negli ultimi anni la crescita più alta del PIL senza mettere in discussione la sua identità, ma riuscendo a trovare un equilibrio non sempre scontato tra tradizione e innovazione.

Tennessee is located in the center of the southeast quadrant of the United States of America and is bordered by as many as 8 different states.
The name of the state derives from the eponymous river, the Tennessee, which runs in the east through the territory from north to south and then flows through Alabama and the western part.
On an international level, there are many and important industries based in Tennessee and also Italian companies are not missing the presence in the region. In order to investigate the composition of the GDP of the state, it emerges as the largest contribution comes from services (21.9%) followed by manufacturing (18.3%), commerce (17.8%) and finance, insurance services and real estate (15.2%).
Tennessee is among the largest producers among the Member States of marble and zinc while, with regard to agriculture, the main resources are represented by cattle and pigs, dairy, soybean crop, tobacco, fodder, cotton, corn, wheat, sorghum, beans, tomatoes, apple and peach trees. There are different and multiple reasons in order to choose Tennessee for a business purpose. It’s a reality that, within the Federation has registered in recent years the highest growth of GDP, without questioning its identity, but failing to find a not always obvious balance between tradition and innovation
