Top China-Lombardy Business Summit in Milan

Giuliana D’Antuono, General Manager of High Quality Italy (HQI Srl) and General Secretary of the Physeon Association, commented that: “High Quality Italy has once again been confirmed as a trusted brand that Italian businesses can count on to promote their ‘certified and guaranteed’ high quality products, projects and services both in China and on the international markets.” The comments were made at the full immersion event held with two important Chinese delegations on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November in Milan, designed to strengthen diplomatic and trade relations between the two countries.
Further confirmation of the association’s success with the Asian country came from Maria Moreni, President of the Physeon Association: “We are proud of the results that High Quality Italy and High Quality China (a Chinese-Italian lobby dedicated to promoting high quality Chinese products) have achieved in just a few years in terms of credibility, reputation and operations with China, and above all in strengthening diplomatic and trade relations between Chinese and Italian points of excellence.”
The events, which are organised by the Physeon Association with the aim of opening new horizons and forms of economic-cultural cooperation between Italian and Chinese centres of excellence, were lent lustre by the attendance of institutional representatives such as the Hon. Davide Caparini, General Secretary of the Presidency of the Chamber of Deputies, and Mr. Carlo Capria, Director of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Honorary President of Physeon and High Quality Italy, who showed his satisfaction during his speech by commenting: “Since diplomatic relations began 45 years ago, cooperation between our countries has led to some very positive results in terms of economic and commercial exchanges: trade between our countries has grown from 120 million dollars to today’s 48 billion. China has become Italy’s main trade partner in Asia, while Italy is China’s fifth most important trade partner in Europe. Financial cooperation has grown rapidly, and there are already more than 5,000 Italian investment projects in China, in the automotive, home appliance, chemical, textiles and clothing industries.
Italy has more to offer than just culture and landscapes – over the years, the country has developed top level technology. Premier Li Keqiang offered assurances that Italian businesses will be guaranteed certain and impartial rules, allowing them to pursue initiatives of common interest and strengthen Italy’s image as a fundamental partner in China’s One Belt Road strategy announced two years ago by President Xi Jingping. The strategy will cover 60 countries across Asia, Eurasia and Europe over the next 30 years – practically all those interested in the Silk Road – with an initial investment of 50 billion euros for infrastructures, energy, trade and cultural heritage.
Over the last 45 years, the friendship between the two countries shows how bilateral relations can have a stable basis, creating constant development and real benefits for both countries and peoples, built on respect and comprehension of their respective positions and acting with loyalty, friendship and equality.”
