Un francobollo per Expo Milano 2015

“Tra i tanti eventi di Expo Milano 2015 non poteva mancare il francobollo”.
Così Giuseppe Sala, Commissario Unico Delegato del Governo per Expo Milano 2015, ha accolto la presentazione ufficiale del francobollo di Expo Milano 2015. Alla conferenza stampa hanno partecipato Roberto Maroni, Presidente di Regione Lombardia, Domenico Tudini, Presidente dell’Istituto Poligrafico Zecca dello Stato, e Luisa Todini, Presidente di Poste Italiane. “Siamo nati nel 1862 proprio come Azienda che emette francobolli”, ha raccontato Luisa Todini. “Quello di Expo Milano 2015 si inserisce tra i grandi eventi filatelici che hanno segnato la storia delle Poste Italiane. L’Esposizione Universale è una vetrina internazionale che racconta i sapori e suscita le energie vitali del mondo per nutrire il Pianeta. Si tratta dunque di un’occasione straordinaria e Poste Italiane con questa speciale emissione ne vuole sottolineare la rilevanza e l’impatto culturale sull’opinione pubblica”. L’immagine del francobollo riporta sulla destra un dettaglio di Foody, la mascotte di Expo Milano 2015, e sulla sinistra il logo ufficiale. Questo piccolo oggetto celebra la qualità del buon cibo e l’eccellenza del Made in Italy.

 
A stamp for the Milan 2015 Expo 
“Among the many events of the Milan 2015 Expo, the stamp cannot be forgotten”. Such were the words of Giuseppe Sala, Sole Commissioner of the Government for the Milan Expo 2015, who welcomed the official presentation of the Milan Expo 2015 stamp. The press conference was attended by Roberto Maroni, President of the Lombardy Region, Domenico Tudini, President of the State Mint and Polygraphic Institute, and Luisa Todini, President of the Italian Postal Services.
“We were created in 1862 as a company that issues stamps”, says Luisa Todini. “That of the Milan Expo 2015 is among the great philatelic events marking the history of the Italian Post Office. The World Expo is an international showcase that presents flavours and evokes the vital energies of the world to feed the planet. This is therefore an extraordinary opportunity and the Italian Post Office, with this special issue, wants to emphasize its relevance and cultural impact on public opinion”. The image on the stamp includes a depiction of Foody on the right (the mascot of the Milan 2015 Expo, and shows the official logo on the left. This small item celebrates the quality of Made in Italy food and excellence.
